Digestive System The digestive system ingests foods and provide the body with nutrients and to evacuate waste products. Furthermore, the digestive system is important because our bodies need energy, growth, and cell repair. There are about 13 diseases that can take place in the digestive system. In addition, the disease that I am choosing is the most common one and it’s Crohn’s disease. Ultimately, the etiology of the Crohn’s disease most likely has to due to an abnormal response of the immune system. It can also be caused by the food or bacteria that obtain into the intestines.
