Prior to the reading, I expected the story to almost mirror the trailer in its entirety, thinking the reading will briefly summarize the main plot points of the Tarzan story much like Disney did. However after reading "From Tarzan of the Apes" I quickly realized how drastically different these two forms of media are from one another.
Although at their core both the reading "Tarzan of the Apes" and Disney's "Tarzan" convey similar themes and overlying ideas, they contrast greatly when it comes to detail, audience age-group, and the time period in which they were made.
