Analyzing Erikson's Four Stages In My Family

Based off the life cycle theory by Erikson, my family, as a whole, is a part of two stages. Erikson compiled his information to make the stages by dividing them into psychological crisis. My parents are considered to be in Erikson’s seventh stage. This stage focuses on generativity versus stagnation. The other stage that my siblings and I are in is Erikson’s sixth stage. The sixth stage focuses on intimacy versus isolation. Specifically for myself, I see this stage to be prevalent in my life in the sense that being a college student, I am constantly faced with the decision of going out on a Friday night or staying in and pursuing a guy or staying focused on my studies and letting him pursue me. My siblings are affected in similar ways,
