The United States early on had many enemies to deal with. Now, we do not have many wars with other countries like we did back then. Back then we would use our strength in numbers to conquer our enemies. During the war, we had a draft to see who was all going to the war. Many of America’s young teenagers were sent off to war at an early age and some never returned home. The United States has about six social classes. The upper class, new money, middle class, working class, working poor and poverty level. All of these classes make up the social structure of the U.S. There is a lot of diversity in the U.S. Many immigrants are wanting to come here in seek of jobs and money. The government of the United States is the presidential system and federal …show more content…
Most of the population of the United States lives in metropolitan areas. Some areas are nicer than others and every american has a different way of living in the United States. The roman empire is built on military strength and brute force. Even when the romans were not using their brute force, the size and wealth of their empire ensured that other people wanted a piece of action. Ancient Rome proved that they were the best by conquering country after country. The social structure in Ancient Rome was based hereditary, property, wealth, citizenship and freedom. It was also based on men. The women did not have any rights so they were expected to look after the house and they had very little independence. The boundaries between social classes are very strict. The under classes dressed differently than that of the wealthier class. Once emperors were on the throne, there was no backing out. Many emperors had seen and done some cruel things. Claudius was betrayed and then poisoned by the woman he loved. Emperors had great power and sometimes family would go after family for the throne. The rich and the poor lived very different lives .
