In “Forensic Science: Evidence, Clues, and Investigation” by Andrea Campbell, there are several different types of evidences stated that can be presented in a court trial. The evidence presented in a case will determine whether the defendant is proven guilty or innocent. There specifically is one type of evidence that police and prosecutors heavily rely on: forensic evidence. It uses the physical evidence from crime scenes, or suspected criminals to help solve cases in a factual way, making it the most important type of evidence to present in a trial. Forensic evidence includes things such as fingerprints, weapons, bloodstains, bodily fluids, and much more. As stated in paragraph seven, it establishes the facts of the crime. For example,
