Andrew Carnegie’s views are shared by many of the robber barons; they all were ruthless. The ruthlessness exhibited by these innovators is what was able to propel them to their success. Carnegie’s views however were not ethical. Carnegie’s views were very one-sided; he did not see the how the working class lived. He thought everything was very simple: either you had money or you didn’t. He believed those who weren’t wealthy, were simply not working hard enough. Many workers would engage in hard laborious work, yet they would never amass to the amount of wealth as Carnegie had.
