Animal testing has been an ongoing issue in the last few decades. Every year, millions of vulnerable animals are being used in alarming experiments for the benefit of our selfish wants. Some procedures include testing abrasive chemicals in products and the act of operating on live animals, also known as vivisection. Firstly, testing on animals is pure animal cruelty and is unethical. Also, the immune system of animals are unalike to our own, making them defective test subjects. Furthermore, testing on animals is unnecessary as alternative testing technologies already exist.

Animal testing is arrogant, inhumane and completely unethical. During the procedure, animals are continuously tortured. Not only that, many animals die due to the mistreatment and from the dangerous substances in tested products. Animals such as mice, guinea pigs, rabbits and dogs are susceptible to brutal practices in laboratories. In 2015 alone, approximately 7.5 million animals were used in Australia for the testing of medical and cosmetic products. How would you feel if you were treated unfairly against your own will?
