Animation Review 1: Cadbury’s Caramel Advert 1980s
What are the good features of the animation you looked at?
It included sound in the background of the animation, which makes it more entertaining to watch, and if the tune is catchy it gets stuck in your head so you will definitely remember the animation. As well as music playing there was also sound effects in certain parts of the animation for example when the squirrel is cutting the tree it has a sound effect to go along.
The transition between different scenes of the animation is smooth and hardly noticeable for example when it switches between the rabbit and the squirrel it sometimes fades for a tiny amount of time or sometimes the animation slides over into the between each character like a camera moving across the scene.
It catches your attention from the start so that you carry on watching it to the end and remember it.
What are the not so good features of the animation you looked at?
The picture is sometimes a bit fuzzy at times in the animation especially in the places where the animation is moving. This sometimes makes the animation distracting and not good quality.
It could be brighter and use nicer colours instead of just browns and greens so that it stands out more and looks more attractive.
It doesn’t show you the product until midway through the animation so if it doesn’t catch your attention from the beginning you won’t really know what they’re selling.
What was the aim of the animation?
The aim of the animation was to obviously get people to buy the Cadburys Caramel Chocolate but also for the animation to be stuck in people’s head so they remember it and it is stuck in their head and when they see the advert they instantly know it is Cadburys.
What was the target audience of the animation? (Who was it designed for?)
The target audience is for all ages that like chocolate and would be interested in buying the product.
Do you think that the aims of the animation were met?
I think the aims of the animation were met because after watching the animation it stayed in my mind for the rest of the day and it made me feel hungry so I wanted to buy one.

Animation Review 2: Evian Roller Babies Advert
What are the good features of the animation you looked at?
The animation is very realistic and professional because for a minute you think they are real babies skating, this helps especially because the target audience is adults so you wouldn’t expect it to be a cartoon.
The advert is catchy so you keep on watching and you remember it in your head for the rest of the day, which makes you remember the product. I think the music is the part, which keeps you hooked to the animation and with, out it it wouldn’t work as well as an animation.
It doesn’t show the product until the end and because you want to keep watching it because it is so catchy you watch the whole advert to find out what they are advertising.
What are the not so good features of the animation you looked at?
The
