The Holocaust
Whoever is happy will make others happy too. -Anne Frank. Anne Frank was one of the many people that died in the Holocaust. The Holocaust was ran by Adolf Hilter and the Nazis. Hitler had thought he could rule the world by making people called the Jews wear yellow stars so everyone would know they are Jewish and punish them or even kill them. He would take them to concentration camps. But before they went to the concentration camped he collected shoes, hair brushes and other valuable things. During this time millions of Jews were killed in the gas chambers (Wilgoder 37). At one point in time of the Holocaust four women were accused of smuggling dynamite in an underground network. The explosion caused six-hundred prisoners out, but they did not get away with it, they all were hung even the girls that were accused of doing it (Wilgoder 37). She was one that had unfortunately had to go into the gas chamber. She was only 15 and could have had a lot more ahead of her if this horrible time in history did not happen. Over 1 million children died in the Holocaust (“Anne”). Her father, Otto Frank was the only survivor in her family (“Anne”). Four months went by and her father returned home from the war and her got the terrible news from 2 girls that were friends with Anne and Margot (“Anne”). She has touched many people's lives with her diary and just her kind words. She has taught people that there will be better days than just what is going on right now.
