Anne Moody Coming Of Age In Mississippi Summary

I believe that Anne Moody is the most victimized in her story “Coming of Age in Mississippi.” She was attending a sit in with a few friends at a Woolworths restaurant. I sit in is a peaceful protest in which you occupy a place. A crowd started to roll in and were yelling horrible and racist things. “I was dragged about thirty feet toward the door by my hair when someone made them turn me loose.” When they started to pray things got even worse. “We bowed our heads, and all hell broke loose.”
I think that Fred Collins had one of the biggest victories in the story “A mystery of Heroism.” He was sitting with his friends when he saw a well just over the hill. He said “I wisht I had a drink. I bet there’s water in that there ol’ well yonder!”
