Anne Frank was only 15 years of age when she was forcibly taken to a Nazi extermination camp, because she was Jewish, and was executed. Some time later, her father published her journal. A play based off of this book titled The Diary of Anne Frank premiered on October 5, 1955. They both gave us a different point of view of what was happening to the Jews throughout World War 2. The most memorable quote the stated in the journal was exposed to the world. Her quote was, "In spite of everything, I still believe that people are truly good at heart." It is found on page 295 of her published diary and is the last sentence of the fourth paragraph. This would later be found to suggest that despite everything she went through, she still believed that people are truly good. There are multiple other quotes from her that support this.

Her initial quote was "I have often been downcast, but never in despair; I regard our hiding as a dangerous adventure, romantic and fascinating at the same time.
