The book Micro Hunter, by Paul de Kruif, retells the stories of Microbe Hunters who made magnificent discoveries about the causes of epidemics of their time, their struggles to comprehend them, and eventually it’s cure. With a large database of information regarding what each Microbe Hunter experienced can be considered vital information for professionals in the medical field who wish to study diseases. A few diseases covered in this book are Texas Fever, Rabies, Anthrax, and many more.The contents of the book consist of separate chapters, each chapter with it’s own Micro Hunter(s) and the disease(s) they tackled. While this book covers complicated topics, it lacks in sophisticated language, but acts as a counterweight for it’s relatively extensive information. This steers the authors directed audience to teenagers and young adults interested in a career in microbes. Across the three sources about Leeuwenhoek, all of them have the same basic story. He started in the textile industry, made world famous lenses, and discovered bacteria. Although, each of the sources explore certain topics more such as his early life. This source closely follows the guideline of the previous source closer than the first one, but adds the many separate ways of spelling his name and common mistakes in pronouncing his name, normally made by those in foreign countries. This source exceeds, or at the very least rivals, its reliable of the first source because it contains the references to outside sources. Within the source, it doesn’t make Leeuwenhoek appear far too superior as the previous did, while also just as important as the first source had
