In Antigone, the Odyssey and Loki in the Norse stories all individually have a different relationship with his or her society. In Antigone, her brother had died. Creon stated that Antigone’s brother should not be buried. Society at large was pushing against her and frowned upon Antigone wanting to burry her brother. Antigone went against society and buried her brother anyways. Even her own sister said that Antigone should not burry her brother. Freely, Antigone made the decision to burry her brother anyways, which resulted in her hanging herself. In the Odyssey, Odysseus was be targeted by the society at large. The suitors despised Odysseus and over stayed their welcome at his house while he was away. The culture limited Odysseus’ choices.
