After reading the Greek play Antigone, which is about a girl named Antigone who wanted to bury her brother even though the king of Thebes, Creon, her uncle, wouldn't support that. Antigone was faced with a big dilemma. Antigone was a very dramatic play filled with lots of death and sorrows. It used lots of information that demonstrated life during time of ancient greece. Ancient greece was a civilization during a time of greek history. It was a very unique and different time compared to most history. Back then there were less human right and laws witch is why the king was able to do anything he wanted and kill anyone he felt needed to be dead. Which is why there was so much death taking place in the play Antigone. Crean is a Misogynist because of his actions toward Antigone and Ismene. Crean wasn't a very nice man. He was the king of Thebes and had great power over everyone else. Misogynism is a very common thing and can be found in small and big cases everywhere. Some woman every take on the role of a feminist, Witch is a group of people who try to stand against men and not let them treat woman in that awful way. Feminism wasn't something that took place during the time of Antigone but is very common nowadays. Although since the time of Antigone people have gotten more respect for woman and more human rights laws have been created witch most people are very happy with.
