The character that I admired the most on AF is Cheryl, she was very friendly with Antwone and she genuinely cared for him. I admire her because she encourage Antwone in his efforts to overcome his anger, she understood what he was going through when he told her, she was very supportive of him, she accompanied Antwone on his way back to Cleveland to face his past, she spends endless nights with Antwone going to places and calling all the Edward Fisher from the phone directory. After all the effort and persistency they were able to find Antwone’s family, and she was able to share that moment with him, and shared how pancakes in the dining table would be special for him since it represented a happy day for him.

His choices of getting help through the therapy sessions facilitated him to reevaluate his relationships, and to confront his past accepting that he was only a victim of his inner demons, that it’s not his fault, and start thinking about his future. Antwone internal and external conflicts were based on the man-vs-self approach, internally he struggle with all the scars of his childhood, which made him become an aggressive person, and a very reserved person with his personal things not trying to get too attached to people in fear that they will abandon him. His choices of going back to Cleveland led to his own inner healing, he was able to face and overcome his past by forgiving the people that hurt him, and giving himself a chance to meet his real
