As my second semester of my junior year is coming to an end, it's beginning to feel real that I’m really going to be a senior in just a couple of months. I feel like I am ready but I am also very nervous for what's to come. I will strive for the best and hope that I get outstanding results out of it. Throughout the years I have grown so much as a person and will continue to do so. But I have also grown as a student in the areas of college and career readiness and knowledge. Specifically, there has been growth in my ability to investigate the world and recognizing perspectives. One way I have grown as a student in knowledge and in my ability to investigate the world was in my AP English language class. This semester one of the major projects we had was a civil rights project. In this project we had to choose to be in a group in which we thought was a major issue around the world. One way I have grown in that specific area was in both my Advanced Placement classes which are AP Unites States History and AP English Language. I recently took my AP exams for both classes. I feel like I did okay on my APUSH exam but I feel pretty good about my English exam. I have also recently taken my SAT subject test for Spanish and I feel very confident because Spanish was my first language and it is the way I communicate with my parents and family. Although there was some complications before the test, due to the fact that I forgot my ID and had to go all the way back home from John Burroughs High school, which made me 20 minutes late. Thankfully, I was still able to take me test. Unfortunately, I do not have any evidence because they are exams which I cannot take a picture of. But it has helped me feel better prepared for college since these exams are at a college level. It gives me the advantage of getting the college feel and how the work is going to
