Abstract
The abstract is the only paragraph of text in your paper that does not indent the first line. It should be less than 250 words and double spaced. A single paragraph is preferred. It should be a summary of the content of your paper so that it can serve as a standalone document and give the reader a sense of what your paper is about. Don’t forget to put page numbers and headers in your document. Headers will go in the upper left hand corner of the page. Page numbers go in the upper right hand corner of the page.

In this section, introduce your topic in short detail (depending on the length of the assignment) and lay out what you plan to discuss in the rest of your paper. Double space the text of your paper. As you develop your paragraphs, make sure they flow together in a logical fashion. A paragraph should have at least 3 sentences, if not, consider combining paragraphs. Indent the first line of each paragraph by 0.5 inch. Avoid using contractions. Spell out any acronyms/abbreviations at first use. Use proper grammar and check for spelling errors.
Level 1 Heading
Use the level 1 heading to further develop your main concepts. Focus on one topic/idea in each paragraph. Tie information back to the previous paragraph and also link to the subsequent paragraph, as appropriate. Start the paragraph off with a sentence that provides the main point of the paragraph. Avoid paragraphs that are too long (author, year).
Level 2 Heading
Use level 2 headings to address subtopics from the level 1 heading. With shorter papers, you may not even need these. Be sure to properly cite your sources (author, year). When “taking text in its entirety, use quotation marks and cite as” (author, year, p. xx or author, year, para. 3). Avoid using too many quotations and paraphrase instead. I am listing things such as a dog, cat, and mouse to show you how to place your commas when the list includes at least 3 items.

Level 2 Heading
If you wish to use level 2 headings,
