1. My most challenging assignment this semester was the Appeals Analysis essay, having to pick out of the three appeals: Ethos, Pathos, and Logos. Then using one of them was kind of difficult for me. I understood the definition and how it was explained. But I didn’t know how to relate it to my essay. Especially using it to convey the message the speaker is saying. I couldn’t really find and comprehend the way the speaker was using it in the article. I also didn’t grasp how to state and explain topic sentences, how it creates an emotion. This was kind of complicated for me.

What I liked most about the course was the professors teaching style. It was quite easy and simple to follow. The professor really explained each topic thoroughly and gave examples and made it a class discussion. After it is discussed, the professor asks if everyone understood it and if anyone had questions. Also I liked the aspect that there weren’t any textbooks or books required. This is because there would be a lot to cover, beside that some textbooks are expensive to rent this days not to talk of buying them. Furthermore, I enjoyed the in class quizzes we had they were pretty awesome and interesting to read. Only few were a bit uneasy to grasp.
7. What I learned about myself in this English 1301 class is that I am capable of doing a lot if I set my mind to it. At first at the beginning of the class I was nervous and thought it was going to be really tough for me. But as I progressed through the class I found out it wasn’t that difficult compared to the English class my sister took. This class made me to really think and do a lot of research I didn’t know I’m good at. It also helped me with my sentence structure and essay organization. I also learned how to work on my grammar and
