They continue to develop their strategy to manage energy consumption. Company’s ongoing efforts to drive energy efficiency have reaped further rewards this year, with additional reductions in carbon emissions of over 4,500 tonnes across their store portfolio, three distribution centres and head office buildings. Additionally, Arcadia’s projects to shrink their carbon footprint and reduce the amount of waste they send to landfill have seen further progress. In the last year company have increased their recycling activities again. Company have reduced landfill waste by 1,667 tonnes (www.arcadiagroup.co.uk). Furthermore, Arcadia's supply chain stretches across 60 countries, so logistics is an area of the business where there is a great deal to be achieved in terms of reducing impact. In particular, they have commissioned a thorough and extensive review of the transport operations within their logistics partners Spectrum for Arcadia (SfA) to improve overall efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions. During the year CO2 emissions per delivery from their SfA fleet have been reduced by 10%, following a 7% reduction the previous year.
