The Archetype
An archetype is a typical example of patterns or behavior of a certain person or thing. All these archetypes may affect the way you feel, look, and reactions to things. It is usually viewed as a model or as first form. There are many archetypes such as the ego types, the soul types or the self types. Archetypes usually appear in movies and novels. One example that exemplifies the figure of a hero is the movie, Spiderman. First of all, Spiderman is a hero because he has greater power and ability than normal people. In the film, Spiderman’s uncle told him that “greater power means greater responsibility.” Therefore, when Spiderman got bitten by the spider and received the superpower, he knew he had the obligation to protect his people from that moment. He never uses his beyond human strength to hurt innocent people; instead he is willing to sacrifice his own life for others. Secondly, Spiderman has the courage to fight any enemy no matter how powerful they are. For example, he fought with Dr.Curt Connors, the Lizard, in Spiderman 4. The lizard had the ability to regenerate his body parts, which made it extremely complicated for Spiderman to fight against. Although he almost got himself killed, he still fought until his last breath. Finally, he is caring, loving, and friendly. He would never feel proud or special just because he has greater power than others. He still cared for others, loved his family,
