Argument Against Soda

Soda’s ban on large sodas is useless. The government shouldn’t dictate how much we should drink or not. The law would have been useful if banning a refill. Of course, a ban would not improve the public health crisis. What is important is the people are and will stay healthy.

To begin with, the intentions of bill were for health purposes. Supporters have their reasons for their support toward the soda ban. The main reason is because there is nothing in soda that will benefit you. It’s full of sugar and other chemicals, and has no vitamins nor protein. The accessibility of large sizes of soda makes it seem as if it was normal to drink large portion of it. As Lawrence Gostin says "The ever-expanding portions are one of the major causes of obesity." Making soda’s illegal could help with the obesity widespread this country is facing. Allowing less of sugar and its addictive nature. There is 70% people that oppose and 30% that support the ban of soda’s.

Then, does everyone agrees with it? there are many who are against the ban as well. They typically believe that deciding how much soda we drink is nobody’s decision nor the government's. They believe it will work for the restaurants, and other places. The government to

A simple ban of large sodas won't fix anything. What Americans need is motivation to get healthier. It’s not their decision on what right or not for the people. I occasionally drink soda myself, but I still believe people should be able to drink as much they feel like it. Even if I do understand that health and obesity are big problems in our country. I don't believe this ban would be operative. It’s too easy to focus on one aspect of unhealthy product. Overall, If the government really wants to make an impact on obesity extensive they should create better public’s health choices. Let be realistic we won’t be obese because of a soda come on
