Even though tuition costs are rising drastically, individuals should go to college in order to get a higher paying job and preferable education level. In my opinion, college is worth the expenses for various reasons. According to “The 5 ways ed pays”, those who attend college help form a stronger community by having a higher chance of voting, contributing and volunteering. College also provides opportunities that are not available to those who have not received higher education. Not only do college graduates have a significantly higher chance of getting the job they desire, they are also half as likely to be unemployed.

Furthermore, college can help guarantee a well paying job. However, it is true, there are many rewarding jobs that don't require college. “ higher education means higher salary”, I believe this is 100% true. According to Business Insider “highest paying jobs in America 2017” some of the highest paid jobs include physicians, their median base salary standing at around $187,876 yearly. This means years of study and school, but in the end all that work pays off. …show more content…
