The reason why I picked Jackie Robinson was because everyone has to know Jackie Robinson because he was the first African American to play a Professional Baseball. He would have also been an NFL player if World War II hadn't come around so he joined the army, what was a big deal for someone who would be treated like that still join and fight for his country. How I picked this topic I looked at a list of NHD topics and I saw Jackie Robinson, I said, “that will be a great topic!” I knew for sure this was a perfect topic for this years competition.
