Americans should keep the right to bare arms because by eliminating these rights you could be possibly endangering more lives, the right to bear arms has saved lives in more than one situation, and taking gun rights away will not put an end to all gun crimes. This topic has been up for debate on whether or not we take the right away or put more restrictions on it.

Gun crimes have been occurring at an alarming rate. Cities have been doing what they can in order to prevent these violent acts. Cities like Chicago have been getting progressively worse. The right that many Americans hold on to do dearly has been in talks for quite some time now. Certain state governments have been putting more restrictions on their cities and states but this is not happening nationwide. However doing more background checks, limiting gun sales, and types of weapons bought in the U.S. does not mean we will not see certain guns like AR-15’s and AK-47’s in acts of terrorism or common crimes committed by pistols and other weapons. These guns can still be accessed illegally much like many guns are out in the world today. If a vast majority of citizens was to have a CPL license and a basic understanding of these powerful weapons, as a country, we could all pitch in the fight to end gun related crimes. The second amendment should stay in order to not only keep citizens protected but to also let people who use these weapons as a tool for hunting or a piece of equipment for competitions.

Americans should have the ability to bear arms. We have seen the damage these weapons can cause be we also have seen the many lives these have saved for families and a country as well. Taking this right away takes a sense of protection away from the people of our nation. The right to bear arms is all in all a work in progress that needs to be revised rather than gotten rid
