What is Area 51 Hiding? Can the government truly be trusted? What are they hiding from us? The American public has always been suspicious of discreet government actions especially if the government is presumed to be holding vital information that should be revealed to the public. One of these suspicions includes the government’s involvement in Area 51. Area 51, a portion of the Edwards Air Force Base, is a detachment of the United States Air Force located in Nevada. Conspiracy theorists claim that the base is home to secrets which include but are not limited to, confidential government operations and information on extraterrestrial life. These suppositions have spread throughout the American community like wildfire stimulating the citizens to be skeptical of what information is spread to the public. However, officials have attempted to invalidate these superstitions by declaring that the base is only used to hold military aircraft. Thus, the public is left to choose between believing in the so called research and evidence provided by conspiracy theorists that have little to no access of information of the happenings inside the base or to place its faith in the government officials who would not provide solid evidence that there is nothing questionable transpiring. …show more content…
