This year we have seen an up rise in “police brutality”, political campaigning, natural disasters and so much more. A recent hashtag “Black Lives Matter” is a popular trend that has caught the attention of many people. The Media, especially social media has played into this and it is a growing movement. The movement started when an unarmed African American was shot by a Caucasian police officer when he received a call about a robbery. One got more news coverage because it might have favored a certain political agenda some argue. Others say that African Americans have suffered a lot and that they deserve more coverage, but isn't that racism as well? Both should get equal coverage and not have one dominating the other. Typically, media will show one side of the story that benefits them, or in what they believe. CNN is said to be more left sided and FOX news is said to be more right sided than anything. This being said media should not be biased and show both sides and let the people decided for them selves. Media is changing, that is what we know for sure. Media will definitely become more divided than ever. Too many people like to get one side that they believe. More than ever is CNN becoming liberal and FOX more conservative but that is just how it is. Now in days you have to get more than one source to figure out what is really going on because its too divided, Like Malcom X said, media controls the masses.
