My fair senator, I write not to convict you, but to alert you of the trouble of the Jewish people. For a long time now Jewish refugees have attempted, begged, and pleaded to come to the United States and you and the rest of Congress have been adamant on limiting the amount of Jewish refugees. I can understand the reasoning behind your actions. America is still recovering from the Great Depression. Money is still rare as well as jobs, and adding more people to the population could make things worse. Furthermore, I acknowledge that the Jewish immigrants come with nothing, for they are only allowed four dollars when coming to the country. For this reason the government would be forced to take care, which, of course, cannot be done with how weak…show more content… When the Jews who have nothing are called to them they are forced to work until they die. Men, women, children it does not matter who dies the Nazi’s do not care. This is happening right now. This is, indeed a waste of life. More concentration camps are being built which will accommodate Jews who cannot fend for themselves. If you are worried that bringing Jews to America will risk war with Germany, be at ease. If Germany continues to grow they will come for our country and implement this demonic system of death upon us. All men are equal and we have rights which are self-evident, which Congress should recognize. We must help the Jews as they are being murdered due to simple pure hatred. Again I write not convict you, but convince you to please help the Jews. They face persecution where they are, having no opportunities to rise in society. As second class citizens they have no human rights, and have tried with all their might to escape persecution. Though alas, no one helps them, no one accepts them, they betray them. The worst of it is the torture they’re going thorough in concentration camps. This is the sad reality of the times my senator. Please urge Congress to recognize the plight of the Jews.
