The Outsiders Argument Essay Who’s fault was it really, is what I am wondering. Now Johnny may look innocent but that doesn’t mean he is. Johnny killed Bob, yet David was the one drowning Ponyboy. That is why I believe Johnny is guilty of murder. Sure your friends was being drowned, but does that result to the point of killing. No, it doesn’t so
What I am wondering here is why he killed the young Soc. As Johnny stated it himself in the book “ I killed the boy”. He killed the boy. Was it really self-defense or was it murder i ask myself. If it was self-defense shouldn’t it have been Ponyboy the one to kill Bob or David since he was the one being drowned. If it meant you had to kill someone was it really worth killing the boy. Now if it were my friend who was being I wouldn’t have killed the boy I would have fought back and saved my friend even if I got injured I fought for my friend.

So he chose to kill Bob because he was the one giving the orders and he’s the one who told David to give Ponyboy a ‘bath’ in the fountain. If the one who was drowning Ponyboy was David why didn’t Jonny just kill David instead of Bob. Bob may have been giving the orders but he wasn’t the one drowning Ponyboy. So what was Johnny’s real purpose of killing
