Having a college degree has become almost required for one to be successful in his or her career and life. Having young and hardworking students finance their next four years could force these students to work full time and still trying to manage to go to school. Having the US government invest in students could potentially reduce the crime rates because there would be more opportunities for young people. No student should ever be denied the opportunity to further his or her education past high school due to their financial status nor should they be worried about getting loans to pay for their college. For these reasons college tuition should be provided and funded by the US government.
Every US citizen should be provided the opportunity of free education whether he or she is able to pay and afford the college expense or not. When there is more money circulating in the market there is more taxes being paid? When a student is making 85k a year working a professional job versus making 35k a year working at a fast food restaurant she/he is able to spend or even invest that 50k extra each YEAR that she/he is making therefore circulating more money in the world. According to Hillary Clinton, the hopeful Democratic Presidential candidate there would have to be $350 Billion dollars in order for the US to offer free college for all. Only 6% of the entire federal spending goes towards education. If that 6% is increased to only 25% then the US would have more funds available to pay for the students colleges.
