What is Confederacy? A Confederacy is an alliance or a league for mutual support or common action. (Webster dictionary) Should the current Mississippi flag be taken down? Yes, the flag should be taken down because the flag does not represent the Southern U.S. heritage. The Confederate flag itself is now linked to discrimination. White supremacist adopted the flag in the early twentieth century. For this reason, the Mississippi flag should not be flown. Some people in Mississippi still support the Mississippi flag such as the Ku Klux Klan, a white supremacy group. I do not support Mississippi’s flag because it causes racial tension and violence.
