The fifth amendment protects you from incriminating yourself and for being charged with the same crime over and over, even if you been proved innocent before. Imagine if these things were taken away from you? Andrew might or might not have murdered a person. The court at first told Andrew, “You need always answer every question you’re asked.” This was in hope that Andrew would give the court evidence that he did the crime; sadly for the court, Andrew did not provide evidence against himself.
