The Issue of Illegal Immigration “Illegal immigration is a crisis for our country. It is an open door for drugs, criminals, and potential terrorists to enter our country. It is straining our economy, adding costs to our judicial, healthcare, and education systems.” (James Lankford)

Many Americans tend to argue about the very controversial topic of illegal Immigration. One side may argue that there should be no rules or regulations on immigration and that illegals actually do good things for the country they move into. The other side argues that illegal immigration is just that, illegal, and that illegal aliens make matters worse for the country. With proper research, one can see that illegal immigration is harmful and should not happen.

The first and probably most important fault of illegal immigration is crime rate. It brings crime, disease, and hurts the economy. There is, though, a better way of coming to America other than crossing the border illegally. They could always come into America LEGALLY, by earning citizenship into the US. It is a process that every immigrant can go through to earn themselves into the United States, rather than coming in illegally. If all immigrants entered legally, this would help satisfy those who think immigration forms that of a country, and for those who are against illegal immigration. Crime rate would be reduced, disease will not enter the country, and the economy would not be damaged nearly as bad, it is best for America to keep illegals out, and is now the time to take action against it, to make a better, Safer
