Women in Combat Since about two years ago, (12/3/2015) women were able to earn their spot in any combat role they desired, but even though that is a great accomplishment for women, there were many before them who served in combat unnoticed. Since they were not noticed beforehand (at least not to the extent of our men who serve) it deems appropriate to indicate the efforts put forth in combat by our women, this being because they experienced the same combat positions as our men, and were to endure the same suffering. Yet even today some of these women are considered to not have been in combat. Upon granting women admittance to the military, their contributions to various wars notably impacted the makeup of present day military units.
