Abortion These days it seems like abortion has become more and more common. When people think of abortion they do not always think about a life being at stake. People beat around the bush a lot when it comes to the topic of abortion just because it is something that is somewhat hidden, it doesn’t get discussed the way it should. (Maybe make it two sentences) Abortion is something that should not be so easily encouraged. If a woman cannot keep her child for whatever reason, she should know that there are other options such as adoption. I also know that there are some exceptions to abortion, such as, being a rape victim, being a physically unfit mother, and carrying a child that has a fatal illness. One reason is that there are families out there that just physically can’t have children for whatever reason. If someone were to put their child up for adoption, it could give these families the child they’ve always wanted and you could become the answer to someone’s prayers. Another reason to consider adoption is because there are people out there who will adopt just to prevent abortion. Those people could even be someone in your own family such as aunts, uncles, and even your own parents. Adoption can be very successful in many ways and adoptive parents may enjoy their new child more than the birth parents. Nine out of every ten adoptive couples said the relationship they share with their adopted child is “very close,” and nearly half said that their relationship is even “better than expected.” Also, more than nine out of every ten people said they would “definitely” make the same decision to adopt again (U.S. Department of Health). A reason people might not consider adoption is because they think of foster homes like the one in “Anne” and maybe even the thought that a bad family could adopt them. This is something that is possible but only if you don’t put in the work to find the family that you want for your child. There are many adoption facilities just waiting to help you every step of the way. A good family is always waiting and the child you don’t want could be the perfect addition to their
