Though countries like Russia, France, U.K. and international organizations such as Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CLPL) have declared their support for Brazil's UN ambition, yet they've got another hurdle to cross - U.S. The United States being one of the permanent member of the United Nations Security Council does not endorse Brazil's bid. One of the major reasons being that it is not a nuclear power and is not willing to share the burden of leadership. Another reason that stands against Brazil is its ally with Argentina and Venezuela, two authoritarian regimes that are the most evident economic failures in the region and chronic violators of human and political rights.
