Q: I'm a confused person, a xenophobe and/or Trump supporter (or a combo of all three). Why should I care about these DACA kids?
A: Because we are talking about children who, through no fault of their own, were raised as patriotic Americans in the only country they've ever known. Only a heartless super cunt would think it's morally acceptable to send them to a place they have no ties to.

A: DACA applicants cannot be approved if they have a criminal record. And getting approved does not prevent recipients from being deported if they are convicted of a crime after.
Q: Would we really even notice if they weren't here though?
A: These folks are projected to inject $433 billion dollars into the U.S. economy over the next ten years. Ten states would lose more than $1 billion a year in lost spending without them, including Georgia.
Q: Why don't they just apply for legal citizenship?
A: Because we made it illegal. Since 1996, it's been illegal for any immigrant to apply for legal citizenship for three years if they've lived in the US without papers for six months. That ban is 10 years if the immigrant has lived in the US without papers for a year or more. And that applies even if they marry a US citizen or qualified for a green card through a relative. Those are called the 3 and 10 year bars and you need to know about them if you plan to speak coherently about immigration ever.
