Although few people may think adopting from foreign countries is bad because of the reason that it takes the place of other children wanting to be adopted in the United States, international adoption should be considered because of the reason that it would benefit the foreign child by being provided with the opportunities and good health care that they could not receive in their own country.Families adopting from countries around the world has became a trend over the years because of celebrities doing it (Fisanick 14). The profiling of celebrities adopting from foreign countries may encourage other Americans to do the same. After the war, international adoption became a widespread interest because of its countries poverty, this made them go forward with Americans to adopt their people (Haugen and Mathew 47). Many parents cannot care for their child because they might not have the support from their family members, enough financial, or emotional resources. Other parents may have mental illnesses or addictions and some are restricted by the laws of their country the number of children they are allowed to parent (11).The most common argument about international adoption is that children with different racial backgrounds being put in White homes should be provided with ways to connect with others who share the same heritage so they are able to learn his or her history, culture,and traditions (Willis 48). In conclusion, adopting from foreign countries should be considered as long as the parents that are willing to adopt the child are wanting to help him or her by trying not to medically and psychologically hurt them in the future because of the whole process and it should also be considered because of the child being put in a loving family and receiving the opportunities that they could not receive in their own
