Is Judicial Activism protecting our Charter Rights and Freedom?

I. Introduction
This paper argues that judicial activism helps in protecting our rights and freedom. Judicial Activism strengthens the judicial system in the protection our rights and freedom in Canada. In part II of the paper, I will explain the concepts of Judicial Activism and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedom. Then, in part III of the paper, I will examine the factors which support the theme of the paper, and through some case laws to better understand how these factors support the theme. Finally, in part IV of the paper, I will conclude on the theme of the paper.
