Vaccines have been a controversial topic for quite some time now. Parents are worried about the possible side effects associated with them. Vaccinations for everyone were first mandated in 1809. Shortly after, Jacobson V. Massachusetts case appeared in court (Vaccines,2010). Jabcobson refused vaccination, claiming that his son had a reaction to the vaccinations (Mariner, Annas & Glantz ). The court ruled that states have the power to make vaccination laws (Vaccines,2010) and now every state has mandatory vaccinations with only 48 states allowing exemptions for medical reasons or religious beliefs. Parents may not choose which vaccine they want for their child and which one they don't. The Vaccination Risk Awareness Network states that vaccines ‘“can damage a child’s developing immune system and brain, leading to debilitating and life-threatening disorders such as autism, ADHD, asthma, peanut allergies, juvenile diabetes, or to SIDS, death itself.”’ Vaccines contain different toxic substances (Primula) such as thimerosal , which has mercury and on top of that the MMR vaccine is also given at around the same age that children show signs of autism. In the United States, 1 out of every 150 children are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (Vaccines,
