Is Bob Ewell a powerful person, how about Donald Trump? Most people would say no, they are both loud and very obnoxious. Why do people think this? Is It because they are constantly seeking fame and attention? Or is it simply because they are constantly telling people how to live their life when they are not living their own life by their own rules. On the other hand, Atticus Finch, John F. Kennedy, and Author Radley are often recognized as humble, quiet, and powerful individuals. They all stood up for what was right in their own way. The quietest people are always the most powerful.

It is much easier to follow someone's advice if they are living by it them self. For instance, if Atticus told his kids to “be kind to Mrs. Dubose, she is going through more than you know of”, but he was rude to her, why would the kids listen to him? On the other hand, if he is very polite to her, the kids will more than likely mimic his actions and also treat her with respect. Another thing Kennedy said was,“Those who dare to fail miserably can achieve greatly.” This statement refers back to Atticus claiming he knew he was “licked” before he began the trial, yet he proceeded and enhanced the appreciation from the people in his town and go through with the trial and make the first step in the right direction. Although Atticus didn’t win the trial, he opened the eyes to many, and took one step closer to decreasing the amount of segregation in his town.
