After the United States gained its independence from Britain, America was left on their own to create their own government. In order to make these decisions a group of delegates came together with the intentions of creating a democratic government for the people and by the people. After some time, they created the Article of Confederation, which gave the states too much power and things quickly took a wrong turn. After some time, many state delegates came together to revise the Article, and decided to create the Constitution. George Washington and John Adams became two of the first federalist administrations to exist under the new Constitution after the Article of Confederation failed.
