In 2006, scientists found a 7000 year old Spanish skeleton in a cave in northwestern Spain. The man was a hunter that lived during the Stone Age. The man could not digest milk or starch easily, so that leads to the conclusion that being able to digest milk and starch probably evolved after the beginning of agriculture. His DNA shows that his eyes were blue (or at least not brown, which most early humans had). His pigment genes showed that his hair and skin were dark. These data shows that blue eyes may have evolved before blond hair and pale skin.

I agree that the man must have been a Stone Age man because of his inability to digest milk and starch.
I disagree the conclusion that blue eyes evolved before blond hair and pale skin because they don’t know the earliest time that blond hair and pale skin had appeared, so they cannot conclude that blue eyes evolved before blond hair and pale skin.

1. I think that DNA was the most important thing the scientists had to work on, even if the skeletons were thousands of years ago, they could still identify some things about the person from his DNA.
2. It is interesting to know that people with dark hair and dark skin can have blue eyes.
3. It is unclear if they have found the evidence of the earliest people having blond hair and pale skin to compare if blue eyes evolved earlier than blond hair and pale skin.
