Webster defines resilience as an ability to recover from or adjust easily to misfortune or change. During his thirteen years, Ashton has experienced and overcome challenges that would cause most adults to tremble. At an early age, he experienced every facet of domestic violence at the hand of his biological father and step mother. Subsequently, he spent time in multiple foster care homes. He prevailed.
