According to the 2000 Census Public Use Microdata Samples, Asian Americans have done very well socially and economically in many ways. It is true that the numbers do not lie, as the data was collected by 200 Census Public Use Microdata Sample shows that Asian Americans have a highest rate of college degree (42.9 percent), median family income ($59,000), high skill occupation (34.6 percent), advanced degree (6.5 percent higher than Whites with 3.0 percent), high skill occupation and so much more. In these categories Asian Americans even seem to be better than Whites. Therefore, these numbers are believed to be the reasons why the society calls Asian Americans as “model minority.”
These numbers not only show that Asian American are doing so well in the society but also showing that Asian Americans are overcome the discriminations in the past. More than that the success of Asian Americans is a shiny example for other racial/ethnic minority groups to overcome the general barriers of minority groups in the United States so that they can easy get to the living of “Americans dreams.”

A lot of people assume that Asian study all the time and they do not need any additional helps as well as the public services assistants. Everything has the pros and cons; I mean who would not like to be the model of anything?
