My family has descended from two main countries, Spain and Mexico. I don’t know a lot about my ancestors but I do know they all root from those two. My nuclear family is very orientated and in my case contains my parents and my four other siblings. My parents meet each other in Mexico City, Mexico. This was a medium-size town and all the time in December through January they would have parties to celebrate the holidays and the Virgin of Mary, during that time everyone gathered in the park, and my mom and her sisters we’re they’re enjoying the music. At the same time by dad was also they’re and my mom caught his eyes, so he did what every gentlemen should do, he asked her to dance and from that day they fell in love and later got married. My dad and mom later came to the United States in 1983, where they lived in Chicago and had my older sister and me. At first they had a lot of trouble even coming to the US because they did not have papers but they went through so much to receive them. My parents decided to move to Virginia, where some of my father’s family was, my aunt her children and my uncle and his children. They all live in Miami, Floriida, while we live in Alexandria not much of a drive at all but that’s how it was growing up.
