Dropping the atomic bomb does have the potential to influence other countries to develop/use their own atomic weapons but this is not a negative thing because weather or not the atomic bomb is dropped the future of the development of atomic weapons is inevitable

It shows that America always fights for justice and does not settle for compromise. It promotes Americans courage fight to endure peace through intently seeking out and destroying the enemy in shortest possible time and the shortest amount of casualties. 6. We have seen through Pearl Harbor and the Bataan Death March that the Japanese will continue to fight barbarically to kill Americans until they stopped with overwhelming military force. If we do not drop the atomic bomb, we will have to use other alternatives to military power, resulting in the expanse of thousands of U.S troops lives. There is price America will not pay, there is a point beyond which Japan must not advance. If we choose to accommodate, choose to settle, we are admitting defeat.
