Question #7
How would you evaluate your personal eating habits and level of physical activity? Be specific and provide examples.
Since I play at a high level of soccer, it is necessary to eat healthy and be fit. I would evaluate my personal eating habits by determining which foods are good for me and which foods are bad. Most of the time I eat healthy foods such as: fruit, salads, chicken, steak, vegetables, and smoothies. One unhealthy drink that I am trying to avoid is soda. It does not benefit me in any way and it is bad for me, so now I drink water instead. On the other hand, I would evaluate my level of physical activity on how fit I am and what I need to do to become more in shape. For example, one soccer game is about 90 minutes and I need to be able to run the entire time, so I need to be in shape. For me to be in shape I go to the gym three times a week and run on my free time to get my body adjusted to run for so long.

Question #6
What would be the FIVE most important benefits of physical activity and regular exercise TO YOU? Explain the reasons for your choices with specific examples.
Include the MLA-formatted citation for your primary source immediately following your response.
1) Being fit
2) Being active
3) Reduces risks of diseases
4) You have a better chance to live longer
5) Better sleep
There are many benefits of doing physical activities and regular exercise, but the most important ones to me are that you become fit, more active, improve your lifestyle, you have a better chance to live longer, and you get better sleep. Benefiting being fit by doing physical activities and regular exercise is important to me because “[e]xercise can help prevent excess weight gain or help maintain weight loss” (Mayo Clinic Staff) which keeps me fit for the sports I do. Being active is also an important benefit since it “boosts your brain power, which can help you do better in school and improve your grades” (Sanford WebMD). Also, it allows you to pay better attention to your surroundings. Furthermore, doing physical activities and regular exercise also benefits by reducing your risks of diseases which is important because it can save lives and better improve your health. Even Dr. Nick Cavill, a health promotion consultant, says, “If exercise were a pill, it would be one of the most cost-effective drugs ever invented.” Yet another benefit that comes along with doing physical activities and regular exercises is that you have a better chance to live longer. It has been tested that “[p]eople who are physically active for about 7 hours a week have a 40 percent lower risk of dying early than those who are active for less than 30 minutes a week” (Physical Activity and Health). For that reason, I go to the gym three times a week because I would like to live a longer life. One last benefit that I think is important is getting better sleep. Sleeping well is important to me so I have energy for the next day and I’m in a good, which I am most of the times. Mayo Clinic says that, “Regular physical activity can help you fall asleep faster and deepen your sleep” (Par. 5). I need good sleep, so if I have a soccer game the next day, than I will have enough energy to play.
