All youth in their lives have risk factors and comes from all socioeconomic levels. However, they are likely to come from a broken home (single parent household, where the mothers are often young and unmarried, the family is dysfunctional and experience with abuse is common and more.) They are likely to come from poverty and/or an area filled with crime. (Rich and middle class kids behave just as badly, however high risk youths are likely to be from poor families.)
