1. How do customers see us?
It is in Apples best interest to provide the consumer with the best in products. In doing so, the shareholder and the company reap the benefits, promoting future offerings. While iPad has created a separate market for Apple, globalizing its firm has proved that its customers see Apple as a viable company. Gartner: Apple iPad to lead tablet market in driving up IT spending. (2011). Apple’s iOS will continue to own the majority of the worldwide media tablet through 2015, according to Gartner, Inc. Due to the success of Apple’s iPad, iOS will account for 69% of media tablet OSs in 2011, and represent 47% of the media tablet market in 2015. With the increase in the amount of technology, credit has been given to Apple do to the creation of the tablet.
2. At what must we excel?
Apple’s iPad price points are higher than the market. Since the inception of the IPad Apple has experience their “blue ocean” slowly fading. Amazon, in 2011 introduces the kindle fire, which was three times less than the IPad. The single market that Apple captures is now shared with Amazon. Apple should consider different price points in order to capture those consumers who cannot afford the higher price point (Blake & Berger (2013).
3. Can we continue to improve and create value?
Apple has an approach that is very adequate. All of the handheld devices that Apple has created had pre-cursors. Apple was not the first to actually make the tablet but the strategy that it uses is; by seeing what other companies create and where they fall short. This is where Apple capitalizes on the market; by improving what existed (Cruickshank. 2014). 4. How do we look to our company’s shareholders?
Apple has done will in providing its shareholders with dividends. The goal is to ensure that Apple future in capital investments is secure.
