Swish! Goal! Buckets! These are some things that athletes hear all the time. However, the people that work day and night and never stop, the people that never sleep, and that save our lives just because they enjoy it or have a passion for it, don’t even hear the word thank you as much as they should. There is a great deal of contingent athletes that get paid much more than people that allow these athletes to play. Why is this okay? Today, Americans value entertainment more than health or safety. It is a proven fact that a teacher, who has THE important job of educating our kids, gets paid less in one month than Tom Brady does in just fifty minutes. It is daunting to people that have a stable career when an athlete's could end at any second, yet the athletes still makes more money. People are mesmerized in disbelief that these athletes make more money when they have more of an unsteady career. In my opinion, they do not do enough to make that much money. I am not insinuating that they should not get paid at all, but they should not make more money than people with stable careers. Players work hard and to please us, and they should be paid, however, most get paid too much money. People consider the players and not the people that are constantly stressed because they are worried about saving a life or helping others. If an athlete is sick, most of them say they cannot make it; the people that work hard twenty-four-seven are constantly working even when they are sick. They do this because to most people their paycheck means everything to them while athletes get paid so much money is not necessarily an issue. Hopefully now, more people will see the bigger picture and not worry so much about Stephen Curry and all the other
